Your accounts never leave your device
Crupiery has no data server, user accounts, ads, analytics or trackers. The app works like a ledger saved by your own browser.
Your data is stored only in this browser and on this device. It is not sent to our servers. Other people who use this same device and browser could open it if you have not set a password. If you clear the site data, close an incognito window or change devices without a copy, you may lose your records. Deleting only cached files does not necessarily delete the accounts. Download your backup frequently.
What is saved
Profiles you create and their accounts, funds, categories, transactions, budgets, counts, donors or codes, debts, goals and settings are saved. From a receipt we only save the name you enter, never the file. We do not ask for email, phone or location.
Where it is kept
Your accounts are stored in a space on this site within the browser. Your preferences are also saved: language, theme, text size, currency and last profile. Everything stays on this device.
What connections the app makes
When visiting the site, the browser downloads Crupiery files, including fonts and chart, Excel and PDF libraries. They are served from the site itself and do not need to connect to external providers. Crupiery does not attach, send or share your financial data in those requests.
Donations via PayPal
If you choose to donate, the button opens PayPal on an external page. Crupiery does not process or store payment data; the transaction is processed directly under PayPal's policies.
Backups under your control
When you download a backup, Crupiery creates a backup file on your device. You decide where to store it and with whom to share it. It contains sensitive financial information: protect it as you would a bank statement. Restoration is processed within the browser.
Optional password
You can set a password so your accounts won’t open without it. It’s useful if other people use the same computer. You don’t need to enable it to use Crupiery. We don’t store your password and cannot reset it if you forget it: keep a copy of your accounts and store your password in a safe place.
How to delete your data
In My details you can use Clear all . To prevent accidents you will have to type DELETE. You can also remove site data from your browser settings. This clears the records saved on the site, not the backup files you downloaded; you will need one of those files to recover your accounts.
Shared responsibility
Crupiery helps organize information; it does not replace accounting, tax, or legal advice. If you record donor names, restrict access to the device and respect applicable privacy rules in your community. When possible, use donor codes.
