Practical guide

Manage well, without being an accountant

Crupiery is designed to record what comes in, what goes out and the purpose of each resource in simple words.

First steps

  1. Opens the church module or the personal module.
  2. Create a profile and choose the currency. Each profile keeps its information separate.
  3. In Church, review the starting accounts and add any you need, for example “Main Bank” or “Cash.” In Personal you can record transactions immediately.
  4. Record every entry or exit on the day it occurs and keep the receipt outside of Crupiery.
  5. Download a backup at the end of the day or, at minimum, once a week.

Guide for church treasurers

After a service

Use Offering count . Note how many pieces there are of each denomination, add the checks and record two witnesses. Compare the physical count with the envelopes before saving the receipt.

Income and expenses

An income is money received; an expense is money paid. Choose the correct account and fund. Write a description another person can understand months later and keep the receipt number.

Designated funds

A restricted fund has a purpose communicated to the donor, such as missions or construction. Do not use it for another purpose. If you need a transfer, document the reason and keep the corresponding authorization.

Monthly reconciliation

Compare Crupiery's transactions one by one with the bank statement. Mark those that appear and review the outstanding difference. Do not close the month until you understand it.

Accountability

Submit the monthly report to the board or assembly with time for questions. The signature space helps record the review; it does not replace internal controls or the legal obligations in your area.

Personal and family guide

The envelope budget assigns each income unit to a purpose. The 50/30/20 method offers a reference: 50% needs, 30% wants and 20% savings or extra debt payment. Adjust the percentages to your reality.

In debts, snowball prioritize the smallest balance to gain momentum; avalancha prioritize the highest rate to reduce interest. The simulator is an estimate, not a promise from the lender.

Backups and restore

Open Backup and security from the link My details at the bottom of the page —or from Church Settings— and tap Download backup. Save the backup file to a drive, encrypted drive, or location you control. To recover the data, click Restore backup and choose:

  • Replace: overwrite current local data and replace it exactly with the file's data.
  • Merge: keep current and add records that don't exist.

Do not manually edit the backup file. Crupiery validates its format before importing it.

Password lock

You can set a password if other people use the same computer. It’s like a key: without it your accounts won’t open. You don’t need to enable it to use Crupiery.

Very important: if you forget the password, we cannot reset it. To recover your accounts you will need a backup you can open. Save a copy before enabling the lock and keep the password in a safe place.

Offline use

After the first visit, the app keeps the files needed to open without internet. Export libraries are also saved so Excel and PDF are available offline once the first upload is complete. CSV, JSON and printing remain available.

Scope of the tool

Financial and accounting notice

Crupiery and its templates are educational and organizational tools based on practical experience. They are not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice, do not guarantee results and do not replace professional judgment.

Every person, church, community, business or company has different circumstances and obligations. For important decisions—especially if you run a business, have employees, file taxes or must keep formal accounting—consult a qualified professional who knows your situation and local rules.

If something doesn't add up

  1. Filter the correct period.
  2. Check amounts, dates, accounts and funds.
  3. Find duplicate or still-unreconciled transactions.
  4. Compare with receipts and the bank statement.
  5. Do not change a closed month without recording the reason.
